Project Summary
As I started building my digital presence, I wanted a personal website that would reflect my skills, showcase my projects, and give me a solid platform for future freelancing. I chose WordPress for its flexibility and used the Blocksy theme, but I didn’t just use the defaults — I heavily customized the layout, colors, typography, and page structures to fit my growing brand, MarketingWithManthan.
Objectives
- Build a clean, responsive website to showcase my skills
- Match every visual element (fonts, colors, icons) with my personal brand
- Ensure a logical content flow and hierarchy for users
- Highlight my projects, blogs, and services in a confident and structured way
What I Did
- Theme Customization:
- Chose the Blocksy theme for its modern layout and lightweight performance
- Customized header, footer, sidebar layout, and removed unnecessary sections
- Branding Integration:
- Applied a custom color palette (navy + teal tones) to reflect trust and creativity
- Selected typography combinations that felt clean and professional (used Google Fonts)
- Designed a personal logo and integrated it across the site
- Content Strategy & Hierarchy:
- Wrote an engaging homepage intro that welcomes and builds credibility
- Reorganized the default project section into meaningful categories
- Strategically placed CTAs for visitors to view my work or contact me
- UX & SEO Foundation:
- Added relevant internal links and planned future blog categories for SEO
- Ensured fast-loading pages and responsive layout across devices
- Set up proper title tags, meta descriptions, and SEO-friendly slugs
Outcome
- Professional Presence: My website is now my portfolio, blog hub, and contact point — all in one.
